Value For Money Statement
Northamptonshire has a plan that seeks to achieve financial balance over the next four years through more efficient working; a restructure of operational and support functions and an emerging collaboration programme.
The force and authority have made a clear commitment to protecting visible policing and putting communities first. They have a range of initiatives to mitigate the loss of police officers and staff including a volunteer scheme and a significant increase in the number of officers serving with the special constabulary. Moving forwards, the force and authority will need to further develop their plans for regional collaboration and a shared services approach to back office functions.
