Northampton: assault

Police are appealing for information after an assault occurred on Saturday 23 June at approximately 2.30am on St Peters Square, Northampton.

A 20 year old man was walking through St Peters Square when he was punched in the face. He subsequently fell to the ground and banged the back of his head on the pavement. As a result he required hospital treatment and stitches.

The offender is described as a white man, but other details are not known.

We take incidents of this nature very seriously and encourage people to think about the potential consequences a single violent act can have. If anyone was in the area at the time who may have witnessed this then please contact Police on 101, alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
