Emergency Preparedness Unit
The Emergency Preparedness Unit is responsible for planning the policing response to events and issues that have implications on policing across the county. This is particularly concerned with natural or man-made disasters such as floods, gas leaks or explosions.
The only way to deal with serious incidents is to plan and prepare for them. The team make sure the Force has plans in place to deal with unpredictable events. The team have over 90 different site-specific emergency plans from sites across the county.
The unit works in partnership with representatives from Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, local authorities and NHS Northamptonshire.
