Man assaulted in McDonald’s in Drapery, Northampton

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault outside the McDonald’s restaurant in Drapery, Northampton town centre.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was in the queue when he was approach by about five men, who were all black. They began to push and be verbally aggressive towards the victim, who was then jumped on from behind, put in a headlock and punched in the stomach.

The incident happened between 3.40am and 4.10am on Friday, 18 August.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
