Witness appeal following attempted armed robbery at an Ambush Street convenience store, Northampton

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery at an Ambush Street convenience store, St James, Northampton.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 8), when two men entered the store, armed with what was believed to be a handgun and a machete, demanding cash from the till. A member of staff threw bottles in their direction and they left the shop empty-handed.

The offenders are described as two males wearing tracksuit tops and bottoms, one seen wearing white trainers.
