Man robbed in Northampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in a hate crime in Northampton.
The man was walking on a footpath near Dallington Brook, between Ryehill and Kings Heath, between 11.30pm on Monday, November 27 and 12.30am on Tuesday, November 28, when the incident took place.
He was talking on his mobile phone in Polish when a group of four young men started shouting racist abuse at him. One of the group then snatched the victim’s phone and his rucksack was pulled off his back. The victim ran away from the group in the direction of Kings Heath.
The offenders were all white and three were taller than 6ft, while the fourth was considerably shorter. All four wore dark clothing.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
