Andy Frost Deputy Chief Constable
Andy took up his post as Deputy Chief Constable in August 2015.
Andy started his policing career with Northamptonshire in 1987. In 2002 he was promoted to superintendent in charge of the Community Action department and then in September 2003 he took command of the Force Communications Centre at Headquarters.
In 2004 he transferred to Bedfordshire Police, to take on the challenging role of Bedford and North Bedfordshire divisional commander. Andy was the commander for Luton BCU from 2008 until attending the strategic Command Course in 2010. After completing the course Andy was appointed as an ACC back in Northamptonshire. Andy held both ACC portfolios and a number of regional and national responsibilities.
As the DCC Andy has responsibility for Professional Standards, Transformational change and Corporate Services. Andy has been the Force lead on Police/Fire collaboration and is currently the Force lead on designing the Strategic Alliance operational work stream.
Andy is born and bred in Northamptonshire and is passionate about providing a quality policing service to the County.
