About the Force Control Room
Our Force Control Room is based at Wootton Hall, Northampton and is at the heart of policing across Northamptonshire – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
Our dedicated team work shifts over a 24 hour period to answer all emergency 999 calls and non-emergency 101 calls, as well as deploying officers to incidents across Northamptonshire.
Made up of around 150 permanent members of staff, our Investors in People accredited Force Control Room takes an average of 1200 calls a day. Despite that, no two calls are ever quite the same. One minute you could be noting down the details of a stolen vehicle, the next, you may be taking a report of an armed robbery. It is a hugely rewarding job and you will feel an immense sense of satisfaction knowing you have helped someone at one of the worst times of their life.
Whatever the situation, we always strive to provide the highest quality of service to our customers.
